All Weather Blades
The ceiling fans of today offer all types of opportunity. If you have the need for something formal, you will find beautiful and sophisticated designs. If you are looking for a ceiling fan to add a bit of whimsy to your childs room, there are fans that are designed to look like baseballs, airplanes, decorated for ballerinas, and so on. If you want convenience, there are even fans that come with remote controls. Best of all, you can even enjoy a ceiling fan on your deck or patio as long as it has all weather blades.

The leader in all weather blades is Casablanca. These blades are specially molded with high-impact synthetic resin to resist moisture, which makes them the perfect choice for outdoor use or in regions with high humidity. In addition to performance, the blades are designed with a sophisticated look. With Casablanca, you will never get anything less than superior since all of the materials used are chosen to last a long time.

One of the best designs is the eight-ply blade that has six layers of wood, constructed in a cross-laminated pattern. This produces durability and extra strength so the blades do not warp. The two layers on the outside are furniture grade wood veneers so you know they are the best. Although you will find many different brands for all weather blades, Casablanca goes all out. They never use plywood or fiberboard, photographic paper to look like wood or cheap construction. With Casablanca, every aspect of the fan is top quality.

If you love spending time out on your deck overlooking the backyard or enjoy sipping on a cup of coffee in the morning on your screened in porch, you can add a ceiling fan with all weather blades and enjoy it even more. On those hot summer afternoons when you hate being cooped up indoors but cannot stand the dead air, by adding a ceiling fan, you can get outdoors and enjoy a nice cool breeze.

Another quality company is Hunter Fans. They too offer a special line of 52-inch fans that can be installed outside. The blades are made of plastic but very sharp looking. Additionaly, the motors for these fans are backed by a lifetime warranty. Three of the top fans sold by Hunter include the Satin White that has white blades, making it perfect for a quaint outdoor setting, the Raw Copper that has blades made from simulated cherry, giving them a rich, outdoorsy look, and the Raw Aluminum that has bleached oak blades. All of these fans cost less than $400.

If you are thinking about installing a fan outdoors, you need to look at the Wet/Damp Rating, which will confirm that the fan has been UL listed for a damp rating. The damp rating means the fan can withstand humidity and light moisture. If the fan will be hung where it can actually get wet, you want a wet rating, which is designed with a sealed/moisture resistant motor. Other features include stainless steel hardware, rust resistant housing, and all weather blades so you can enjoy having a fan outside just as you do inside.
